Our expectations were not high - Calama is not exactly a tourist city, and we expected the hotel to be very plain and geared towards visiting workers, but it was very nice! Lots of spacious, comfortable public areas, and a comfortable, well-equipped room. Breakfast was good - eggs cooked to order - and dinner in the restaurant was fine, which meant we did not have to venture into the centre at night (although the city seems to have had a lot of money spent on it since we first visited in 2013). The location, on the edge of the city near the airport also meant meant that it was easy to find without having to navigate your way through the city - although slightly complicated on this occasion by nearby roadworks. The outdoor swimming pool looked nice, though we did not use it because of the high UV levels! The prices were very low for the quality provided. Secure parking on site.

The Park Hotel near the airport in Calama is a modern accommodation with decent sized rooms and all amenities. The bathroom was a little tight but functional. It is a sprawling hotel and some rooms are quite a way from reception. There is a restaurant and breakfast included. Though it’s technically an airport hotel, you still need a taxi to get there and the cost is $US10. I paid $US60 for my room. Good space, a beautiful hotel, very close to the airport. It's easy to arrive going to the airport, using a taxi company (less than 5min). The staffs were amazing and kind, and we had a good night's rest.

We wanted an overnight stay near the airport and this was good - a five minute drive away. It is a large hotel with a pleasant lobby and a good restaurant. Rooms are getting tired, but for £40 a night bed and breakfast you can’t complain. Staff were helpful although little English is spoken. Nice to have a garden and pool. TIP - the roadworks are a bit of a nightmare. To enter the car park you need to drive over the rough ground at the right hand end of the hotel. You should be able to see the open barrier from the road.

We stayed one night after our Atacama visit due to a morning flight to Santiago. At first glance it seems like a nice upscale hotel but... The reception staff was so rude it was like we were bothering them to check in. The hotel had sent an email previously about the need to pay in USD cash if we wanted to avoid the 19% tax so I had brought that along to pay. Turns out they would only take a credit card - they said the tax wouldn't be charged but that remains to be seen. We arrived at about 5:00 with no lunch and were starving but the restaurant doesn't open until 7pm and there is absolutely nothing else in the vicinity. The lobby bar wasn't even open until 7. There is supposedly a minibar in the room but it was completely empty. Finally went to dinner at 7 and the wait staff was no nicer than that reception staff - however, the food was good. The room was quiet and comfortable but there are no USB plugs and only one side of the bed has a plug of any sort. Cleanliness in both the room and the common areas was mediocre at best. Bottom line, it's close to the airport and will do for one night but I sure wouldn't want to be stuck there longer than that.

Llegamos temprano, nos entregaron nuestra habitación apenas estuvo lista. Almorzamos el menú del día, muy rico y abundante. Tuvimos una tranquila noche, una agradable experiencia. Todos muy amables y serviciales. Disfrutamos el welcome drink y habia buffet para la cena. Reservamos llamando directo.

O hotel está muito próximo do aeroporto o que é uma facilidade para táxi Os quartos são amplos, limpos e o chuveiro é ótimo O drink de cortesia é muito bom e o bar bem charmoso Buffet para jantar excelente, farto e saboroso Piscina bonita e atendimento ótimo Nosso voo era muito cedo e nos ofereceram uma box lunch bem caprichada. Venham com a expectativa bem baixa. Apesar de ser cômodo para pernoitar chegando de avião, o hotel podia ser bem mais cuidado. O hotel é velho, tomar banho é uma tarefa de tão ruim que é o chuveiro, café da manhã muito fraco! Só salva a simpatia do staff. Melhor ir direto para Atacama mesmo com o cansaço.
